I’m interested in exploring the intersection of nature and humanity with my ongoing series, Nature Dissected. I seek to explore this relationship through photographic abstractions of plant life, to demonstrate how interconnected we are. Selectively photographing parts of living plants and morphing them into new creations, I interlace opposing factors, distort reality and create depth or movement within a new piece. Focusing on the intimate details of plants, my goal is to create something new that can be interpreted as a translation of this connection. I hope to transport the viewer to a place of oneness with nature, instilling a protective and nurturing outlook.
